Why should I pick Borders Boot Camp?
At Borders Boot Camp, we pride ourselves on offering an extensive and varied training programme that will not only help boost fitness levels and weight loss but will also ensure you have the
experience of a lifetime.
When does the camp start and finish?
For all 4 day weekend courses, we ask that you arrive with us around 10am on the Friday and you will depart on the Monday at approximately 10am. Each day will start at the crack of
dawn (approximately 6.30am) and finish at 10pm.
I've never exercised before or not for many years, will I be able to keep up?
Throughout the retreat, you will be challenged to your own personal fitness levels, not to those of the fittest person on the camp. Your personal safety and enjoyment are our sole
responsibility.
Does the camp cater for individuals who are simply looking to challenge their own fitness level?
Yes. Each camper will be challenged to their own personal fitness levels and whether that means getting you to jog further or carry a heavier weight, we will ensure that your time with
us will let you see just how much further you can push yourself.
Will you assess our fitness when we arrive?
Upon arrival, each camper will be weighed and put through some simple fitness tests. At the end of your stay, we will re-assess you and congratulate you on your
improvements!
What do I need to bring with me?
As we are based in Scotland, you will need to bring all weather kit! We suggest as much fitness/outdoor gear as possible, waterproofs, trainers, walking/hiking boots, thermals (season
depending) and swimwear. All your luxury items such as a hairdryer, straightners, hot water bottle and a teddy bear are also items you may like to bring. We will however provide
you with an extensive 'What to bring' list.
Do I need to take part in all the activites?
Throughout the weekend, we usually find that each camper takes part in all activites, regardless of any fears they may have. The team support and moral within the camp will ensure that you
have the support to conquer even the biggest of challenges.
Will I learn anything about Nutrition?
At Borders Boot Camp, nutrition will play a major role in allowing you to achieve the results you desire, whether it be weight loss or improved energy/fitness levels. You will learn what foods best fuel your body, be encouraged to try new foods and appreciate how well the body responds when you don't overload it with sugars and fatty foods. Each camper will be given individual assistance and following each camp, you will become part of the Borders BootCamp Club and receive monthly recipes and exercise tips.
What if I get injured?
Both trainers are qualified in First Aid and if needs be, a local doctor will be available.
What assistance is offered after I have finished the camp?
Each camper will be granted access to our Borders Boot Camp Club page. You will have access to any of our updated recipes and nutritional information and support will also be offered for any
fitness/training ideas that you may require. We want to ensure that your journey continues even after you have left the residential camp. We also have a very informative Facebook page
were recipes, exercise tips and general information regarding Borders Bootcamp is updated regularly.
What is the accomodation like?
We feel that the pictures speak for themselves about the quality of accomodation offered at Borders BootCamp. The Mill provides luxury accomodation in a truly tranquil setting, deep in the
Yarrow Valley. Recently converted in May 2009, the Mill has 4 stunning twin/double bedrooms; Oak, Elm, Ash and Beech, all of which have an en-suite bathroom/shower room.
During the camp, you will share a room with a fellow camper. The living accomodation is extremely comfortable and cosy and is a real treat after a hard days work. The Mill also
has a drying room, sauna, steam shower and an all weather tennis court.
How do I book?
It's as easy as 1,2,3! Simply give us a call or send us an email detailing which camp you would like to attend and your contact details.....let the journey begin.
